Our festival will be a tricolor explosion, with the aroma of freshly made arepas, crispy empanadas, and aguardiente to brighten the afternoon. We'll dance to the rhythms of salsa, cumbia, and vallenato, while colorful skirts merge with the scorching New Orleans heat in a carnival of intertwined identities.
This celebration, lovingly organized by the Colombian Association in collaboration with the New Orleans Office of Cultural Economy, is a tribute to our distant homeland, which is always present in our hearts. Here, our children will learn that being Colombian means carrying rhythm in our blood and joy as our flag, no matter where we are.
